Elizabeth CHRISTINE Culbert (1955-2020)

The following is the obituary for Elizabeth CHRISTINE "Chris" Culbert written by her brother, Phillip Myron Culbert and published in the London Free Press.

It is with great sadness that we the family of Christine Culbert announce the passing of our beautiful and much loved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt at the age of 64 at University Hospital in London, Ont on Saturday, June 27th, 2020.

Christine was born in Owen Sound, Ont where she spent the first 2 years of her life before relocating to London, Ont where she would spend the rest of her life raising a family and enjoying a very successful career with CMHC until ongoing medical issues forced an early retirement.

Christine was pre-deceased by her parents Ivan Hector Culbert (1918-1979) originally from Lucan, Ont and Elvira (Hutchings) Culbert originally from Ystalyfera, Wales, U.K.

She is survived by her loving children, son Keith Bowie, daughter Robyn (Corey) Bowie and her grandson Jack Mitchel all of London, Ont. Also survived by her sister Vicky (Earl) Schloendorf, Grand Bend, Ont., Ian (Nancy) Culbert, London, Ont and Phillip (Angie) Culbert, Vernon, B.C. She is also survived by several caring and loving nieces and nephews and their families.

Chris was loved by all who knew her and her warm beaming smile and incredible kind heart will be forever missed. Chris enjoyed travel visiting places like Australia, Cuba, Jamaica and she loved her many trips out West to BC to visit her brother Phil and also friends in Alberta. She relished her trips every summer to Port Franks & Port Stanley also spending time in Grand Bend visiting her sister Vicky's home or sitting on the pool deck back in London at her brother Ian's home.

Chris enjoyed life to the fullest! Her love for her children Keith and Robyn was unconditional and her grandson Jack was her inspiration to live a long life to watch him grown up. Jack became the primary reason for her perpetual smile and of course Jack loved his Nana so much!

Due to the current Covid 19 restrictions a Celebration of Life will be postponed until a later date until it is safe to do so.
