| Ivan Culbert in England, August 1940 during the Second World War. Ivan enlisted in the Army in 1939, age 21. Soon after, he was dispatched to the front lines in France. He wouldn't see home again until the war ended in 1945, bringing back with him a war bride, Elvira Hutchings of Wales. This photo shows Ivan on an Imperial motorcyle. |
